Expiry Date Pre-Reminder / Kitchenware

Expiry Date Pre-Reminder

Due to a lack of visualisation and over-buying, it is common to see food go bad in the fridge. Expiry Date Pre-Reminder is a design that reduces food waste in the fridge by alerting users to the expiry date of every food and reminding them to eat up as soon as possible. It gives users a more visual indication of the remaining life span of perishable food a fun way. As time passes, small squares representing different foods move along the track and fall into the drawer below if they are not consumed in time. The falling cubes also means that the user have bought too much food, helping them to know the amount they need.
