ZDF.de was relaunched with the objective of providing greater programming support to the viewer. This refocus necessitated a major change to the website’s structure as well as a visual modification to match the TV format’s appearance. The new ZDF.de provides the user with the ideal means to get information on upcoming or past programs and obtain background information on selected topics. Concretely, the programs have been strengthened as brands and are now clearly recognizable as purveyors of content. In addition the heute news broadcasts as well as sports and the weather are presented as mainstays under the ZDF.de umbrella and the ZDF media center – the portal where the user can call up videos and multimedia offerings – is centrally highlighted on the website.
