Of the total population of more than 50million Tanzanians(Tanzania census 2012), more than 60% of the total population are children and young people of 10-25 years od. Amongst, only 5% of the group complete post-secondary school and 3% join higher learning institution. However, the student and teacher ration across the country is 1:76 which makes it harder for the teachers to provide quality education. Nonetheless, 1 million children under 7 years old are enrolled in Kindergarten and primary school, also, only 78% can read and write upon primary school completion. Since 1998 Kisedet struggles harder to ensure that at least 25% can read.
