The climate in Africa is very hot and food can go bad very
easily. Most people can't afford a refrigerator. Drinking ice
water in Africa is a fantasy. The underground refrigerator is
made of clay, which does not require electricity and does
not cause pollution. As long as the food is placed in the
earthenware, the earthenware is put into the well water.
Use the temperature difference between the bottom of the
well and the surface to achieve the same effect as a refrigerator.
