FreeKey / Medical device

Every day, tens of thousands of unplanned pregnancies are terminated around the world. Women often have limited access to contraception, and traditional methods have a high failure rate, mostly due to incorrect use. FreeKey is a self-help LARC microneedle patch, which aims to help women control their reproductive rights and liberate themselves. A microneedle circular lattice is embedded in the contraceptive microneedle patch. Made of biodegradable material, the microneedles encapsulate the contraceptive drug. When pierced into the skin, they will fall off from the patch and start releasing the drug.
