Billions of disposable plastic cutlery are used in the entire world producing water and ground contamination. The kind of plastic used to manufacture this cutlery needs 400 years to biodegrade. Besides, Argentina is a country with a high egg consumption, thus tons of eggshells are thrown. A biomaterial based on eggshell has been designed to decrease the impact on the environment of these plastic cutlery.
