To better solve this problem, we designed DOTE, a urination measurement and reminder pad with an electromyography (EMG) sensor. The missing link between the central nervous system and the bladder was bridged using an EMG sensor. According to two biological principles, the EMG sensor is used to monitor the electrical changes caused by abdominal muscle. When the urine volume in the bladder reaches a value, the DOTE will generate vibration to notice the elderly, and uphold the dignity of the elderly.
