CAPTN Wavelab / maritime innovative research vehicle

CAPTN Wavelab
CAPTN Wavelab

As part of the CAPTN initiative the Wavelab is developed as a maritime experimental vehicle which will provide the fundamental research for a planned electric-autonomous ferry on the Kiel Fjord. With the help of this test vehicle, the required technologies will be evaluated and further developed. In addition to providing a technical test platform, the Wavelab communicates the aspect of research via design and gives the key technologies of clean propulsion, autonomous driving, and sensor technology, an iconic form. The information hub on land makes the research tangible and enables an exchange with the citizens.
