Hillow.made / Sea waste surfboard

Hillow.made

Eight million metric tons of waste enter the ocean every year. However, 91% of the waste does not enter the recycling system. The vast majority of marine wastes can not be decomposed and will continue to exist for hundreds or even thousands of years. If the production of marine waste is not reduced, the amount of marine waste will be greater than the total weight of fish in the world by 2050.
We decided to collect these unrecyclable marine wastes and make them into non mechanical products for recycling to the ocean, so we replaced traditional surfboard materials with unrecyclable waste fishing nets and foamed materials.
