The idea of the mobile sailing dinghy is to separate the hull in the middle to allow for compact transport. In order to connect both halves of the hull during assembly, they are fastened with an excentrically mounted quick release, similar to what is being used for a bike saddle. The packing dimensions of sailing dinghy (approx. 2 m in length and 50 kg in weight) and can be stowed in a large trolley bag. To achieve a transportable sailing dinghy with a weight of below 50kg the prototype of the hull and rack should be preferably made out of bio-based and flax-fiber strengthened epoxy resin.
