QAED

Smart AED training device

The survival rate of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in Europe is only 9%, even though anyone can use an automated external defibrillator (AED). AED training helps to gain willingness and confidence to use this life-saving device. However, as correct assessment and feedback require a small class size, AED training is not often included in first aid courses. QAED is the first training device concept that supports instructors throughout the teaching process. It collects and analyses participants’ performance and translates the results into guidelines for the instructor. With QAED, AED can be a part of every first aid course, even mass CPR classes.
