Monitum / Footwear design

Monitum
Monitum

Monitum explores the recovery phase of an athlete’s common severe foot injury during training by overuse, stress, and footwear consideration. Providing performance footwear for athletes to use in training that identifies issues around footwear will prevent such injuries. The main cause of stress-related injuries for running athletes is when footwear was overused from a lack of indication as to when the lifespan of footwear has concluded. It presented an opportunity to reconsider the core competencies of performance footwear to lower athlete injury occurrences and to improve their physical performances.
