InstantAED / Wearable AED concept


The number of people who die of cardiac arrest in the world each year is 17 million. The most effective way to treat cardiac arrest is early defibrillation with an AED. For every minute that defibrillation is waited, the survival rate drops by 10%. 80% of cardiac arrest death is due to no AED equipment and no experienced person at the time of sudden cardiac arrest. InstantAED is designed to be daily wearable for people who are at risk of cardiac arrest. It can analyze the heart rate and restore the heartbeat by shocking the chest with electrodes and compressing the chest cavity with mechanical CPR to save rescue time for medical personnel.
