iF DESIGN TALENT AWARD_01 2021

During the COVID-19 outbreak, the emphasis is on non-contact, disinfection, and cleanliness. Most public toilets are cramped and poorly ventilated, with high traffic flow. Pathogen transfer is most likely to soccer in public toilets through touching door handles and locks. This risk factor is particularly critical in hospitals and other high-risk locations. This design allows the user to open, close, lock and unlock the door without any hand contact.

This simple and smart solution adapts to existing public toilet installations. It addressed a daily hygiene issue that doesn't have yet a proper solution. It can be low cost and mass-produced and implemented on any restroom door.
