Sea Refuse Collection

Our waste collection device is shaped like an aquatic plant in order to combat fish nets, plastic wastes and other floating trash in the ocean. The main body of the device utilises wind energy to whirl the lower half of the device like a turbine, effectively collecting floating trash around its area. The lower half of the device is shaped like the tentacle hooks of the Xanthium plant, "hooking" onto the trash while preventing any harm to aquatic life.
LED lighting is installed on top of the device to create awareness to passin boats, while indicating the operative status of the device.
