Zero Hunger / social design

Zero Hunger

On Earth, 1/3 of the world's food is wasted every year but there are still numerous people who go to bed hungry each day. Stores and supermarkets discard leftover food up to 4 billion every year. When we walk into supermarkets or shopping malls, we are constantly seeing goods that are soon to be thrown out, the reason being they are expiring soon, have damaged packaging, or purely because they have a bad outer appearance. But, their nutritional value is the same as any other food product in the store. We hope that through the design, the consumers can enjoy buying at a lower price and part of the profit will be donated to charity.
