Soil types are categorized into 12 orders. Taiwan, a tiny island, has among the most diverse soil compositions in the world, with more than 90% of these orders.
For some people, soil is not only a physical substance but a projection of their emotions, memories, and sense of belonging to a place. Therefore, we created 11chocolate cakes that resemble the appearances and features of Taiwan’s 11 soil orders to transform this projection into an evocative smell to convey the value of soil. This project allows the people to pay more attention to the connection and identification between themselves, the place, and the advantages on their land.
