Food waste is a huge problem in developed countries, and Taiwan with no exception. Almost one-third of food production is wasted in the world. Taiwan’s food waste ranks the first in the Southeast Asia.
Food wasting is not just a problem of kitchen waste, but includes agricultural problems. By establishing a circulatory system of food waste in the city, connecting the electricity which generates by food waste to the urban agriculture to achieve the symbiosis between the city and nature, to attain a new self-sufficient production method and to solve the problem of food crisis, reach sustainable development in the future.
