Diary / Video

Diary

The short film depicts domestic violence from the perspective of me, for which I drew on my experience growing up with abusive parents. In the film, I depicts a young girl doodling in her diary as her parents argue in the background.

The film is shot in one take; also, it reveals the conflicts and disorders under the appearance of the family’s harmony by keeping a diary, which shows an extreme contrast to children’s longing, a happy family. The complexity of children’s fear of injuring is heartfelt and hereby reminds the public to pay attention to and reflect on domestic violence.
