Freezing of gait (FoG) in Parkinson’s disease is a symptom where patients are unable to move their feet. Patients describe it as a feeling as if their feet are suddenly glued to the ground. FoG reduces patient’s independence and mobility profoundly, and significantly impairs their quality of life. Voorward can detect FoG and support the patient with vibrotactile impulses to regain rhythmic gait. Anywhere. Anytime. With the app patients can monitor and store their gait data and share them with their doctors to make more informed decisions regarding further care.
