How would we store and transport food in a fossil-fuel- and plastic-free world?
ESTER is a storage and transportation system designed for small scale farming, making their work more convenient, which will make locally produced groceries more accessible. The system consists of stackable wire cradles and a bicycle cart where the cradles can be stacked, secured and transported to the market/shop. Today farmers often uses plastic cradles with single-use plastic liners, which is instead replaced with a washable textile liner. ESTER is a good way to reduce the use of plastics and CO2 emissions.
