Millions of people around the world still face crops and food shortages, being poverty the main cause of starvation. Living Cardboard offers an innovative solution. Cardboard boxes are used as a medium for cultivation, they are embedded with seeds and suitable nutrients needed for the cultivation and growth of crops. They can be easily transported into poor developing countries. Living Cardboard consists of four layers the bottom and surface layer are for increasing the water retention so that the cardboard maintains e moist environment suitable for plant growth; the fertilizer layer provides the seed layer nutrients necessary for growth.
