The metabolism imagination is a project that explores the possibilities of urban planning
and new materials in the context of rising sea-levels.
I design the “formation process” of the future to give the concept of “metabolism” to the city, replacing the old submerged areas on land with new floating modules on the sea in the development of time, thus making urban planning and construction a constantly changing process to adapt to climate change.
Moreover, I explore materials for the sea floating modules. I choose coffee grounds as the main material, waste rice to provide stickiness, and waste wool to provide better toughness.
