The Villa Rottweil is an ensemble design on a historic site. The restaurant is located in the new building, which adjoins the Villa Duttenhofer (1857) on one side and extends into the public park on the other side. This tension between nature and history connects the architecture with the organically curved ceiling. Designed as a suspended object, it combines a modern language of form with rich craftsmanship. The ceiling consists of hand-burnished brass plates. The lasered pattern reproduces the foliage of the park in abstraction and is thus the continuation of the trees of the park into the interior.
