Catch-up Education / Accelerated learning programme

ISF’s Catch-up Education Programme addresses a lack of access to education in Phnom Penh’s urban slums through an innovative accelerated learning programme that enrolls impoverished out-of-school children and teaches them two years of education per year until they have caught up to the correct grade for their age. Students are then supported through state school and for as long as they continue in education. To fully support students’ attendance in school, we provide uniforms, stationary, school meals, healthcare, and wellbeing support, whilst supporting their families with food parcels, employment guidance and other community projects.
