Assam has 86% rural population majorly comprising of marginalized community wherein access to healthcare is difficult. 130MMUs are operating in all districts to provide last-mile health-services to villages and Tea Gardens. A basket of services previously unavailable is delivered via a doorstep model to the community. Till date, more than 5 million beneficiaries have been covered to curb down the eminent service gap. At present this intervention has seen a positive change in-terms of improved health seeking behaviour. This intervention is successfully addressing the need of the community in a tailor-cut approach both for TG & non-TG areas.
