Project Jai Hind / Education for hope and stepping out of poverty

They migrated from distant Bengal to Delhi to escape from relentless poverty and give a future to their children. they ended up collecting garbage in the city and living in a filthy slum. For the last 10 years Sshrishti’s doorstep learning centre has been offering the neglected children of this slum, quality education for the early years, nutritious food and all round activities for their development. The children who would earlier roam around in rags, rummaging through rubbish are now eager learners, who after receiving a couple of years education at the centre, get a solid foundation and join mainstream schools and march to a better future.
