Rakshak / Gender Equality

The Rakshak initiative is a part of the sustainability model for the Safe Village Program- an initiative by Operation Red Alert of My Choices Foundation to prevent sex trafficking. Being a Rakshak is not a position but a responsibility. Rakshaks don’t work for an organization but as a good citizen out of love for his/her village and as an informative agency who takes the responsibility to make their village a safe village by being vigilant. The main responsibility of the Rakshak is to protect the young girls from their village being trafficked into the Sex Trade and inform Operation Red Alert team in case an incident of trafficking occurs.
