As a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Girl Move mentors (young women aged 22-30) designed the Literacy Game, an innovative solution to ensure that adolescent girls have access to educational tools while forced to stay at home. The Literacy Game consists of educational challenges and playful games for adolescent girls enrolled in the 7th grade, to make them continue investing in their education and to incentivize girls to go back to school once it reopens, empowering them to advance their academic prospects. As most of the adolescent girls of the program do not have internet access, the Literacy Game was delivered to them as printed manual.
