Piedibus: the future is in our feet! / Walk to school to cut smog and favor interculture.

“Piedibus” is a free way to walk between home and school. It works by lines and stops with specific times, just like a bus; it walks in Caserta for over 10 years and now it’s taking a new form to adapt to the prevention standards for Covid-19.
It works every day, thanks to 120 volunteers who take turns: parents, granparents, immigrants and refugees. In Caserta, 200 families use it, by 5 different schools.
Thanks to Piedibus, we reduce smog, promote interculture and healthy lifestyles, help sociability, inclusion and children autonomy. It’s a great tool to reduce public gatherings out of the schools, and so to prevent the spread of covid-19.
