WeWALK / Smart Cane for Blind and Visually Impaired People

With the pandemic, we have an understanding of what social isolation truly feels like. According to the WHO, there are about 253M visually impaired people (VIP). A majority live most of their lives in isolation with 75% unemployed, resulting in an estimated annual loss of £28B to the UK economy. Technology is evolving daily, and as a blind person, I attempt to take part in society with a standard white cane. WeWALK provides full and equal participation in social life to VIP with its cutting edge tech and has reached thousands of VIP in over 37 countries in just one year. WeWALK is a tool that promotes social well-being and inclusion of VIP.
