"Neighborhood Council’’ is Turkey's first digital democracy platform in which the citizens directly participate in the decision-making system of the local government with their votes. The aim is to ensure the equal and fair participation of all citizens the city administration’s decision making processes and to increase collective decision-making capacity by using the highest possible digital tools and technologies. The project target is to deepen the understanding of participatory democracy by making it visible, measurable and reportable, develop the approach and turn it into a democracy culture that will pass on to the future generations.
