HyVong Anti GBV Project / Anti GBV project in Vietnam

Hy Vong (Hope in Vietnamese) is a 3 year project combatting GBV, prevalent in Vietnam: 63% of married women experience GBV, and 87% of women experience sexual harassment in public spaces. We have established 6 student clubs (5 universities in Hanoi and 1 university in Ho Chi Minh City) with around 20 students each (360 over project lifetime). Training sessions are held 6 times a year, teaching our gender studies curriculum. The clubs culminate in students creating community awareness raising micro-projects - this year will be a photo exhibition on dating violence. In 2023, the curriculum will be given to universities for long term integration
