Band Sofa / Sofa for Paralympic Arena

Band sofa is installed at Para-arena, the venue for Tokyo 2020 Paralympic training, camping and para-sport promotional activities.
Diverse people who has unique backgrounds and purpose, such as athletes, staffs and visitors gather in the arena.
It enables them to use for many purposes such as relax, snacking, chatting and minor office working.
We derived this design through research, discussion and experiment with users from diversified viewpoints.
Our goal is not only to make the most comfortable and functional sofa, but also to offer opportunities to interact and create strong relationship (band) of the users beyond the boundary.
