The Time Loop / Installation

In the city Foshan who is located 22.3 degrees north latitude, we installed a time loop with the obliquity of the ecliptic to the ground. As a huge time measurement system, the loop rotates every one hour; and with an hour hand, the water surface turns around every 24 hours, showing the local time. On the surface of the loop, we added calibration of minute and 12 constellations on the zodiac. On the ground, a thin water surface, there are 3 time measurements calibrations: the UTC time, old Chinese time measurement and GMT time. Together with the elements such as light, shadow and mist, the loop creates a serene and mystery space.
