Discipline: User Experience (UX)

LG Wing is a rotating smartphone, a new form factor, and a first of its kind. The device gives users the same experience as a normal smartphone in the single-screen position but swivels out into a T-shaped double screen for an entirely new smartphone experience. The screen turned sideways offers the user a cinematic landscape screen with a 20.5:9 ratio and a second screen to display controls, texting, a keyboard, etc. In Swivel mode, the user can use both screens for one app or function or multitask on the main and secondary screen as needed. Filming or watching videos in Swivel mode greatly improves the pain point of existing smartphones by providing a differentiated sense of immersion.
