Representing a significant shift in design approach, this small home photo printer transcends the status of a peripheral device to become a domestic appliance. With liberating features such as battery power and integrated handle, the printer takes up a position of domestic portability rather than migrated office machinery. The lid acts both as a protective cover and a paper tray; the paper exit door reveals camera card slots. The entire product, from the printer to the interface and the packaging, is easy to use. High performance is balanced with the context of a household environment. The result of these efforts is a distinctive design: simple, friendly and efficient.
