This dashcam with 4G comms can save video and location data to the Cloud and send a notification to specified smartphones on detection of impact. Also, by pressing the emergency button, the driver can save data to the Cloud and send a smartphone notification in response to road rage by other drivers. An in-built, rechargeable battery enables the dashcam to gather video for up to 24 hours when parked without using the vehicle battery. So, the driver can be notified promptly of vehicle damage, for example following a hit-and-run collision. The device also allows the vehicle to be located via GPS if the driver forgets where it is parked or if it has been stolen.
