Forbidden / Branding and Packaging Design

Forbidden is a brand of durian treats built upon the desire to craft an elevated experience for durian lovers. Aligning with its parent company SunnyHills World Project’s philosophy, Forbidden works directly with farms so that sale proceeds are reinvested in the land. This helps farmers generate income, and boosts Malaysia’s agriculture industry. In developing the brand, we focused on redefining current perceptions of durian products. To express the almost guilty pleasure derived from eating durians, the brand mark comprises a star motif signifying excellence. Articulated in rich colours, it conveys the durian’s status as the King of Fruits.
