How can the UN and Red Cross bridge the notorious “last mile” to restore access to people isolated by disaster and emergencies? WingsForAid developed a cargo drone that safely drops 8 boxes of 20kg each with pinpoint accuracy. The first of its kind, it reduces operational costs, mitigates risks, and maximizes operational efficiency. This Dutch design optimizes aerodynamics and usability for ground staff. Operated in flocks, the so-called MiniFreighters deliver tons of food, shelter, or medical supplies in a 250-km radius. It works with patented cardboard delivery boxes that are biodegradable and always land upright to protect content integrity.
