Los Roques is the second most touristic location in Venezuela, receiving more than 70,000 tourists from all over the world per year. However, by 2018, only 9 natives spoke English while the rest of the residents were unable to communicate with visitors.
E-ROQ Project is a Non-Profit Organization whose mission is to increase the literacy of Venezuelan remote communities with high touristic potential through English education.
We encourage conservation and reinforce citizenship values in our classes directed to 60 students; aiming to empower Los Roques community by cementing grounds for sustainable tourism.
