Hanwha Solar Forest / Social contribution activities for climate action

“Hanwha Solar Forest” is a global campaign that aims to combat climate change, air pollution, and desertification by replanting forests lost to logging and land clearing. To date, more than 500,000 trees have been planted on 133 million square meters of land across Mongolia, China, and Korea. We’ve also used our experience in the solar-power industry to create the world’s first seedling nursery to be powered entirely through solar power. Prior to this, reforestation campaigns paradoxically relied on fossil fuel to power seedling nurseries. Our eco-friendly solution was cited as a best practice by the UNCCD.
