Schools for Angola / Access to education

Every child has the right to education. RISE builds primary schools in rural Angola to educate children, empower communities and contribute to the rebuilding of the country. RISE partnered with Educate A Child and ExxonMobil to give 24,000 Angolan children access to education by building 26 schools, and implementing a substantial Monitoring and Evaluation component, tracking enrollment, attendance and retention. The project began in September 2017, with all schools completed by the end of June 2020. Over 18,500 children attended at the onset of the pandemic in March, with all students to be enrolled when schools reopen.
