Purr stems from the study of obstetric violence from a gender perspective, and
exploring how design, being a social and cultural factor, can influence obstetric re-humanization. The aim of the project is to improve the experience of labour induction by promoting the mechanical method of induction and significantly reducing the need for drugs, caesarean sections, episiotomies and instrumental deliveries. By simulating contractions in the uterus with the pumping of saline into the balloon catheter, in addition to preparing vaginal elasticity; Purr achieves to become the key to a respected birth, using silicone and PHA in favor of the planet.
