Chinese liquor is often targeted at middle-aged consumers. Xiao Shi Guang liquor, which means "wonderful time," is a product geared toward a young Chinese audience. The label makes bold use of references to Game Boy, origami airplanes, bicycles, and other objects that associate with simple, happy memories of childhood. The outer box features a cut-out shape of an hourglass, an alarm clock, or a roll of film. These simple openings and images are a comment on the passing of time and also make the product more accessible to young consumers.
