COMPACT / Urban transportation concept

COMPACT
COMPACT

The urban space is worldwide affected by the privat car, so in order to meet the changing needs of cities there must be a reduction.

COMPACT is an autonomous, transportation concept that aims to consistently relieve the strain on urban space and existing resources. For that, COMPACT is able to reduce its own volume and to adapt its flexible interior to a wide range of usage scenarios.
The body of COMPACT consists of two frames, a foldable floor and a stowable interior. Both the central part of the vehicle and the interior use a mechanism of slats that can be slid over each other, so that the vehicle only extends if needed.
