Be The Prescription for Change / Unused & expired household medicine take back

Be The Prescription for Change

More than Rs. 1.10 trillion worth of medicines are consumed in India every year growing at 10.7% annually (Source: All Indian Origin Chemists & Distributors Ltd.). Due to the lack of a proper system for disposal of medicines generated in houses, they reach landfills and ultimately contaminate our soil and water bodies. It also causes bioaccumulation of antibiotics in humans and animals leading to antibiotic resistance.
The aim of this program is to create awareness and facilitate take back of unused and expired medicines for scientific disposal.
