DC 224 is a 24V high performance battery powered hammer for drilling/chiseling duties in concrete/masonry and drilling in wood/metal. The hammer mechanism provides high impact energy (2.1 joule). The big battery capacity and the gearing are designed to achieve very long battery runtime. Inside the compact housing (L: 329 mm, H: 240 mm) an ActiveVibrationControl (AVC) effects the lowest values in vibration measurement compared to the competition helping to protect users from injuries (meeting new European directive 2002/44/EC describing maximum arm and hand vibration). The product ergonomics are enhanced by an elastomeric grip area and the balanced low mass (4.0 kg).
