COMERO / Canteen Robot to reduce food waste

COMERO
COMERO

According to the BCG, around 1.6 billion tons of food are thrown away every year worldwide. Especially for commercial kitchens there is a huge avoidance potential. COMERO tackles this problem and reduces food waste in large canteens.

The system consists of autonomous robots and an intelligent food counter. The counter indicates detailed information so that users are supported to make more sustainable eating choices and to reduce food leftovers. The robots contain 84 meal boxes in different sizes. Due to this, the hygienically shielded meals can be individualized. Furthermore COMERO enables a resale of the remaining lunches in the evening.
