PILI is an iconic media company that has revolutionized puppetry into cool TV series and movies. Enjoying its 30th birthday, PILI wanted a new look aiming for new generations. Key message “Play with New Ideas” was created. For logo, the designer used elements like theatre roof and paper roll to echo traditional play, and replaced partial Chinese characters with English “PILI” to combine both written names. To visually shape its universe, three main colors picked from puppets’ costumes and icons for key roles and allies were developed. A comprehensive visual system not only represented PILI but also would carry it for another 30 years.
